Redevelopment Update
Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City is undergoing an exciting $200m+ redevelopment which is targeted for completion by Christmas 2008. This will see the centre transformed into arguably the best combined-use business, entertainment and retail destination in the Perth Metropolitan Area.

The Station Square
Constructed directly above the trainline, the new Station Square is the link between the bustling Transit Station and the vibrant City of Joondalup. It is a social interaction and transit space. The New Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City
The expansion will be a two storey extension comprising of an additional 29,000 squares metres of retail and office floor space, with the ground floor at the level of the existing centre and upper level shops at the Grand Boulevard level. On completion of the works, the centre's gross lettable area will be over 70,000 square metres.
The extension area is bound on the western side by the existing shopping centre, Boas Avenue, Grand Boulevard and Collier Pass.
What to Expect
The corner of Grand Boulevard and Boas Avenue will feature a prominent two storey modern building above ground with shops at street level and offices above.
The expansion will see the inclusion of a new Progressive Supa IGA, Big W store and some 100 additional specialty stores.
There will be four (4) levels of deck parking with 2,200 new car bays proposed on the southern side of the building with access off Grand Boulevard and Collier Pass (the total number of car bays on-site will be 4,419 approx).
The Joondalup Region
Joondalup is nominated as a Strategic Regional Centre and is planned to grow to become the second biggest CBD in the Perth Metropolitan Area. The Joondalup City centre is located at the heart of the rapidly growing corridor. Joondalup is conveniently located approximately 25 kilometers north of Perth, accessible by rail and the Mitchell Freeway.
